Youth Dance Classes

For all ages from 6 to 18 years old! All classes will work towards learning a routine each term which will be performed for family and friends on the last day. An opportunity exists to perform more formally at events such as JRDA functions and public events.

Tuesdays 4 – 5pm Youth Class (6–9yr olds)
Tuesdays 5.15–6.15pm Over 15 yrs
Thursday 5.15- 6.15pm Pre teens (10–14yrs)

Sat 12 – 1pm Youth (6–9yrs)
Sat 1 – 2pm Pre teen (10–14yrs)
Sat 2 – 3pm Over 15yrs

Youth Classes (6–9yrs):
Class focusing on movement to music and basic dance techniques from different dance styles including salsa, hip hop and contemporary dance.

Pre-Teens (10–14yrs):
Combining hip hop and salsa as well as other styles. Exploring body movement as well as introducing basic partner dancing.
A fun upbeat class to keep the toes tapping.

Over 15’s:
Introducing basic partner dancing (salsa) combined with hip-hop dancing and other styles. Building confidence in body movement and social dance skills.

All classes will be 1 hour and charged at $8 per class so usually $80 per term.
Term 1 will start on 10th February 2009 and will only be 9 weeks so cost is $72 for the term (normally $80).
